White Wolves

Matt Manning grew up playing lacrosse from elementary school through college and beyond, helping launch the varsity program at Woodson HS in the Washington, DC area before earning DC Metro All-South honors as a defenseman. He played collegiate club at William & Mary and VCU — where he received the team's Best Defenseman and Leadership Awards — and continues to compete in club, men's league, and local box lacrosse with multiple local box championships. Professionally, Matt is a radiation oncologist and healthcare leader in Greensboro, and he serves as an assistant coach for the Greensboro Day School varsity boys program, helping guide the Bengals to multiple state championship appearances and titles.

Rob Innella is a record-setting goalie and defensive/goalie specialist coach from Greensboro. At Northwest Guilford he was the 2009 team MVP and an All-Conference and All-County selection, and his 252 saves in a single season (14.82 per game) still stand as program records. He played club for Old North State, earned a 2015 NLL combine invite, and now tends goal for the NABLL's Greensboro Gambler, where he ranks 4th in the league with a .7978 save percentage and earned a 2025 NABLL Save of the Year nomination. As a coach he carries a 51–5 varsity record with two state championships and develops the next generation at Greensboro Day School and with the TYLA Titans.

Andrew Sizemore is the defensive assistant coach for the Greensboro College men's lacrosse team, joining the Pride for the 2026 season. He played five seasons at Guilford College from 2020 to 2025, finishing as one of the program's top defensive players with 112 career caused turnovers (second-most in program history) and 178 ground balls, and he served as a four-time team captain for the Quakers. A Greensboro native who learned the game in the Triad, Andrew also develops youth and club players with NC Fusion and currently coaches Sweetlax Triad Elite and Sweetlax Carolina.

Tristin Terry began his lacrosse career as a 7th grade midfielder before stepping into goal after his team's starter went down — and never looked back. He played goalie at Southwest Guilford HS and then at Montreat College while studying Cyber Security, served four years in the U.S. Army, and returned home to join Southwest Guilford as Defensive Coordinator in 2023. He founded the Mighty Drunks adult team, has captured two Hunger Games titles and the 2025 NC Fusion Adult League B Division Championship, and brings leadership, competitiveness, and passion to every level of the game he touches.

Buffalos

Ryan Gehsmann brings 18+ years of lacrosse experience and a player-first coaching style built on development, discipline, leadership, and competitive drive. A four-year starter and two-time captain at Western Guilford HS (2007–2011) who earned All-Conference and All-Region honors, Ryan went on to play club at South Carolina before returning to the Triad. He founded the Greensboro Lacrosse Club (2014) and the Carolina Gryphons (2018), and currently serves as Executive Director of TYLA, Director of Operations for GLC, and Varsity Assistant / MS Head Coach at Greensboro Day School. He has run the Greensboro/Triad Lacrosse Classic for 11+ years and directs the NC Fusion Adult Leagues.

Justin Matthews is a former three-time All-Conference selection at Greensboro College and assistant coach at Southwest Guilford HS, bringing a player-first coaching style focused on leadership, development, discipline, and competitive success.

Zach brings a player-first coaching style focused on leadership, development, discipline, and competitive success. A four-year starter and three-year captain at Western Guilford HS with three All-Conference selections, he went on to Barton College (NCAA DII) where he was a senior captain, Team MVP, two-time All-Tournament selection, and 2nd Team All-Conference, helping Barton to two conference championships and the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance.

Justin Barry is a former collegiate lacrosse player and coach who established himself as one of the top offensive players in program history at Guilford College and Greensboro College. He finished his career with 289 points, 187 goals, and 102 assists — including a 124-point single season — and currently ranks 2nd all-time in career points, goals, and assists. A 2× First Team All-Conference selection, USA Magazine All-American, USILA Senior All-Star, and 2× team captain, Barry now coaches youth travel hockey in Greensboro with a focus on skill development, accountability, confidence, and teamwork.

Golden Eagles

Experienced lacrosse coach with playing experience at Greensboro College from 1998–2001 and the Greensboro Gambler box league in 2025. Mars has an extensive coaching background at the youth, middle school, club, and high school levels — currently head coach at Cornerstone Charter Academy HS, with prior stops at Cornerstone MS, TYLA, NC Fusion, and Deadshots. Focused on player development, leadership, teamwork, and building a strong team culture on and off the field.

Max Elbin is a Northwest Guilford High School product who played collegiately at North Greenville University (2018–2022) before a final season at the University of Mount Olive, where he went on to serve as a graduate assistant coach. He still competes in Greensboro-area men's leagues and plays defender for the Greensboro Gamblers box lacrosse team. A certified youth lacrosse referee, Max has coached at Cornerstone Charter Academy, with the Deadshots, the inaugural Carolina Gryphons club season, and throughout the TYLA youth league. His coaching is built on the things players can control: attitude, effort, and stick skills, played fast and focused on development.

Turtles

DJ brings decades of deep roots in the North Carolina lacrosse community and a contagious passion for the game. He helped build lacrosse in the Triad by starting the inaugural team at Ragsdale HS, went on to play club at Appalachian State, and as one of the longest-tenured head coaches in the Metro Lacrosse Conference turned a struggling Southeast HS program into a powerhouse — three playoff berths and the school's first home playoff win since 2009. He's also grown a local rec youth program from 30 to 100+ players. His coaching philosophy honors the Native American roots of the game — play fast, play free, and have fun.

Chevy is a Greensboro native and former standout face-off specialist from Western Guilford HS, earning All-Conference honors three straight seasons, All-State twice, and finishing his high school career with a 98% face-off win percentage. He went on to play at Lees-McRae College on a full athletic scholarship, ranking 17th nationally across all divisions with a 74% face-off win percentage after his sophomore season. For the past eight years he has developed young athletes across the Piedmont Triad and currently serves as Assistant Men's Lacrosse Coach at Southeast Guilford HS.

Snipes

Andrew McLaughlin is a dedicated lacrosse coach and program builder with over a decade in the game across two states. A three-year starting attackman and team captain at Laurel University (2013–2016), Andrew stepped into head coaching before age 21 and has since led programs at Oak Ridge Military Academy, Wesleyan Christian Academy, and as JV head coach at Mount Tabor HS — plus club work in NC and California. From 2024–2026 he served as Assistant Coach for the High Point University men's club lacrosse team before being named Head Coach. His approach emphasizes discipline, accountability, and team culture that extends beyond the field.

Bryce is a Ragsdale HS alum and four-year midfielder at Guilford College. He brings a two-way middie's mentality to the Snipes — work both ends, win your matchup, and let the offense flow from defensive stops.

Ernest brings a decade of playing experience to the Snipes from HS and men's club lacrosse. Now in his third official season of coaching, he's worked with the High Point University men's club program and at Grimsley HS — specializing in face-off and defensive strategy.

Bears

Coach ABO has been a high school teacher and coach for 38 years — 33 in Guilford County, NC and the last five in Danville, VA. A true veteran in the classroom and on the field and court, he has coached football, basketball, and lacrosse at the youth, middle school, AAU, and high school levels for more than 30 years. Most recently he was the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach at Western Guilford from 2018–2021. He is also a published author and a national & international speaker/trainer on classroom and team culture, character, and leadership development — and is excited to help coach in and grow The Drew League and the Triad lacrosse community.

Austin Abourjilie is a former collegiate lacrosse standout from Greensboro who earned USA South Rookie of the Year honors at William Peace University in 2018, was named First Team All-Conference as a freshman, and went on to earn multiple conference recognitions at Greensboro College including Second Team All-Conference and USA South Player of the Week. Known as a dynamic scorer with a seven-goal career-high in conference tournament play, Austin now coaches at Northern Guilford High School — where his first season as head coach finished 23–7 and conference tournament champions.

Cole Abourjilie is a Greensboro native and son of a coach who became one of Northwest Guilford's all-time greats. A 2011 state champion and four-time honoree — all-conference, all-area, all-region, and all-state — he tallied 270 career points, once ranked as North Carolina's all-time leading goal scorer, and held the Northwest record for goals in a game (8) until it was broken by Sean Goldsmith. A Team Carolina Elite and Old North State Lacrosse alum, Cole went on to play college lacrosse at Salisbury University (Maryland) and Lenoir-Rhyne, and today is a dedicated lacrosse referee at the youth, high school, and college levels.
